The built-in phone connection feature in Windows 10 keeps showing a network error
My phone (Android 16) and computer (latest version of Windows 10) are on the same Wi-Fi network, but the built-in phone connection feature keeps showing a network error. I’ve tried pretty much every solution I could find online, but it still doesn’t work.

Android 16 meets Phone Link’s Android 10-or-later requirement, and Windows 10 needs the October 2022 update or later. The same Wi-Fi alone is insufficient. Confirm Phone Link and Link to Windows use the same personal Microsoft account, update both apps, and turn off Battery Saver. On a trusted home network, disable any VPN and check the router for Wireless Isolation or AP Isolation; either setting blocks communication even when the network name matches. Restart the phone, PC, and router, then retry. If the error remains, open Phone Link > Settings > Devices and remove the phone. On Android, sign out of Link to Windows. In Windows Settings > Apps, open Phone Link’s Advanced options and select Reset. Pair again with a new QR code and approve every requested Android permission. If this is work or public Wi-Fi, test a private home network because network restrictions may prevent the connection.
