Recent Photos app update removed the option to add comments – anyone else annoyed?

The recent Photos app update removed the ability to add comments to photos, and I'm not happy about it. I used to just hit Alt+Enter and jot down notes to sort through images on the fly—no need to alter the actual files, and tags aren't even available in Photos. Now I have to cross-reference everything with File Explorer, which is painfully slow.

Anyone else relying on that feature? What are you doing instead?
