File Explorer no longer retaining custom view settings
I organize several directories solely dedicated to program shortcuts, similar to the classic Windows 3 Program Manager. Despite setting File Explorer to details view, I consistently switch these folders to display icons. Lately, I've encountered an issue where the icon view setting is not retained after rebooting. Has anyone else experienced this problem or do you have any recommendations for resolving it?

After adjusting the settings in Folder View, click View > Options > Apply to Folder to save the layout, or back up the BagMRU key value via the registry.
