Re: vlookup
HansVogelaar That definitely works, but I am wondering what the TRUE parameter is good for? I was hoping to enter a list of golfers without the country they are from. When I download the leaderboard table from the website there are small country flags depicting where the golfer is from. When copied to an Excel spreadsheet the flags become the country in text.1.4KViews0likes2Commentsvlookup
I downloaded some results from the Masters Golf Tournament and would like to use vlookup to populate a spreadsheet with only select golfers. I've reduced the leaderboard to save space. The formula in cell L2 is =VLOOKUP($K2,$B$1:$H$10,3,TRUE), formula in cell M2 is =VLOOKUP($K2,$B$1:$H$10,4,TRUE), etc. The result for the formula in cell L2 should lookup K2 (Scottie), find him in the range $B$1 and return column 3 which is 66. The results are coming from the last row for Cameron Young. I can't figure what I am doing wrong.Solved1.6KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Conditional Formatting Formula Changes Erratically
SergeiBaklan I am confused by your answer and when I try to duplicate your example I can't get it to work. I have a worksheet that has A1 through A30 with the days of the month of June for example. In the rules manager for cell A1 I put the formula =A1=Today(), format that condition with a yellow fill, so each passing day the next cell has a yellow background. My issue is I want the row A1:P1 filled with yellow on June 1, B1:P1 filled yellow on June 2, etc. I am experiencing the same problem, in cell B1 in the Applies to field I enter the cell range =B1:P1 but when I hit Apply the reference changes to =$B$1:$P$1. Your video clip shows how you change the absolute reference and get it to stay but mine will not change. Can you help with my problem? Paul0020KViews0likes2Comments
