Extension toolbar button not working (Edge Dev 132.0.2931.1)
In the latest Dev channel build, clicking on the extension button in the toolbar you see the UI is all strange and only shows one of your extensions taking up the whole window. You are also missing the bottom part of the UI. I've submitted feedback but I'm not sure if it captured a screencap of the issue. The latest stable version of Edge seems to have broken the new tab homepage for us. The tab opens but just says "loading" and never completes. Opening a new tab resolves the issue. This is only happening on Stable, not in Canary or Dev, version 128.0.2739.42.Solved10KViews1like36CommentsClear cookies for specific URL on browser close?
Hi there! We are migrating some internal URLs from HTTP to HTTPS and have a requirement to clear cookies for these URLs. Currently the only option would be to clear all cookies for the browser, but wondered if there was a way to automate the clearing of cookies for a specific URL? There is already a policy to keep cookies for specific URLs, so just wondering if a new policy could be created to *remove* cookies for a specific URL.Solved492Views0likes4CommentsMicrosoft Store latest changes with app downloads
Just wondering if any other IT admins are dealing with the recent changes to the Microsoft Store app downloads and how instead of launching the full MS Store, it now launches a containerized version. While this does lead to a better user experience, the unfortunate side effect is it bypasses our current restriction to block the MS Store from users. We currently control all our MS Store apps in Intune via the Company Portal and have the policy to "block MS Store" enabled. However, the change where you can download the apps via a self contained EXE on the website now bypasses this block, presumably because the containerized version of the app installer is not referencing any of these policies. Can Microsoft please address this? We don't really want to block apps.microsoft.com but if this behavior isn't changed this might be the end result.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsMixed mode content download warning
After the recent update to v124 in Stable, all of a sudden we had a bunch of internal sites start throwing mixed mode content download warnings which blocked file downloads. I was able to bypass this by adding the download URLs into the "allow insecure content on specified sites" policy, but I can't find any information as to why this all of a sudden changed in the latest version. There was nothing in the changelog that I saw that would affect this. Any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this issue?Solved9.5KViews6likes22CommentsEdge Dev 121.0.2274.0 - Losing cookie/stored session on re-launch
The latest Dev build seems to lose all saved session information on browser close for most websites. I have a ton of saved tabs I have open and every time you relaunch on 121.0.2274.0 it seems all cookie data/stored session data is removed which causes all your logins to be cleared. I've submitted feedback for this already but just an FYI if anyone else is experiencing it.Solved812Views5likes3CommentsPolicy Suggestion: Set customized background for new tab page
Hi Microsoft Edge team! Just wondering if I could suggest a new policy which would be to customize the background for the new tab page via specific image file. The current setting is to just disable custom images or image of the day, but we would like to possibly set a standard custom background for our domain users. Thanks!Solved1.1KViews2likes3CommentsManifest v3 and Extensions
I realize that Microsoft is following Chromium on switching to the Manifest V3 standard for browser extensions, but I would implore Microsoft to reconsider allowing some MV2 extensions like uBlock to exist on the Microsoft Edge Extension web store. In enterprise environments, there are limited applications that allow this type of functionality in browsers, and using an extension like uBlock has allowed our users' browsing to remain secure (ie: no spammy popups, redirects, ads, malware links, etc). It also helps save network bandwidth at home and in the office by blocking these web requests before they can be initiated by the site. Browser such as Brave (which also run on Chromium) are also continuing to support certain MV2 extensions, so there is no technical reason why Microsoft couldn't do the same. If MV3 does go ahead as planned and remove MV2 extensions, then there may be room for Microsoft to implement some sort of its own malicious adblock/redirection blocking in Edge (SmartScreen/Enhanced Security currently does not do what extensions like uBlock Origin do).Solved3.7KViews2likes3CommentsNeutral sites not working in cloud site list
So here's a strange one. We've added a specific SharePoint site (example, company.sharepoint.com/teams/12345) into the IE mode site list since it is using legacy Active X controls. When navigating to that URL, it doesn't flip to IE mode, and instead ends up in a logon loop with SSO. We have this particular URL set to allow redirects as well, so it should work. We've added the following sites as neutral, but still experience the issue: login.windows.net login.microsoftonline.com login.live.com It seems Edge isn't recognizing the originating URL as part of the IE mode list quick enough, and then because the MS logon neutral sites are set, it continues in Edge, but of course that doesn't work. Would appreciate any suggestions!Solved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsPublish IE Enterprise Site List not working
[Edit]: To make it clearer, we are using the cloud site list feature I'm not sure if this is just a problem with our tenant, but we cannot publish changes to our IE mode site list (I only tried yesterday so I'm not sure if this has been going on all week). I've also tried creating a new list and cloning the existing one to publish, but I'm met with an "Error: Request failed with status code 400" - I've tried this using Chrome and Edge, and also on multiple external connections just to rule out something in our environment. Anyone else experiencing this?Solved956Views0likes1Comment
