Re: Duplicating windows regression with 143.0.3638.1
Yes it's happening to me as well. I submitted feedback with a recording. I click on a link in Outlook for example and it opened 3 more windows of Edge, complete with duplicates of my existing session with all tabs open. Very strange bug.17Views0likes0CommentsRe: Mica issues again (title bar + context menus)
This is now completely broken in Stable - no effects in the title bar or drop-down menus. Canary seems to have fixed the title bar, but the drop downs are still solid colours. Not sure what is going on ... maybe this is an upstream Chromium bug?19Views0likes0CommentsRe: Mica issues again (title bar + context menus)
It looks like the bug has now moved from Canary to Dev as the title bar effect is there but the context menu is solid white. Stable is still working as intended with the transparency in both title and context menu... so I am unsure what's going on here.153Views0likes0CommentsMica issues again (title bar + context menus)
Weird bug again - in both Stable/Dev the title bar mica effects are not working, but the dropdown & context menu (three dot settings) is. In Canary, the title bar mica effect *is* working, but the dropdown/context menu is not (solid white). I reported via feedback as well. I noticed on my test system that setting up a new profile in Dev/Canary sync doesn't work correctly - specifically, extensions do not install properly. In my stable channel build everything is working, however when it attempts to sync to Dev/Canary only the "forced" extension I have enabled via policy shows/works, where as the others are not in the extension list, but are present in the AppData user data folder. I've attempted to reset sync and have everything get pulled down again, but the issue persists. I've tried clearing out the profile and re-installing Dev/Canary to see if having it force re-sync would help, but it does not. TLDR - syncing extensions to dev/canary with enterprise sync breaks any extension that is not 'forced' to install via policySolved123Views0likes2CommentsMissing acrylic/mica effects in all builds
In the recent Dev/Canary branches I noticed that the mica and acrylic effects were removed even with the flag "Show Windows 11 visual effects in browser" enabled, but this has now found its way into the Stable channel and there are no more transparency (mica/acrylic) effects in the browser at all, including in menu dropdowns. Is this expected or a bug?Solved973Views7likes12CommentsTheme automatically changes to match Bing NTP image
Starting with the latest Edge Dev build today (139.0.3394.0) if you have your new tab page set to display the Bing wallpaper, the theme will automatically change to select a colour based on the picture without your consent. And if you attempt to reset the theme or change to another one, opening a new tab will just force it to change again. See my video below:Solved301Views8likes4CommentsRe: Edge Dev 139.0.3365.2 does not open / crashes
Have you tried deleting your profile cache in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge Dev\User Data (<-- delete the user data folder to clear your profile) I am using the same Edge version and can launch so it appears to be an issue on your local system - maybe an extension? Start up page?150Views0likes0Comments- 127Views0likes0Comments
Edge Dev profile flyout orange
In the latest Dev build (139.0.3365.2) the profile flyout background has turned a rather unsightly shade of orange... I assume this was not intended :) I reported via Feedback but I could not include a screenshot so I thought I would include one here as well.Solved225Views0likes4CommentsManifest V2/V3 timeline update?
Google/Chromium announced at the end of March that MV2 would be completely removed from Chrome in v139, meaning that v138 will be the last version that can run MV2 extensions even using the policy override. Since v139 is expected sometime in July, that time is coming up fast! In Microsoft's timeline, it is stated: Manifest V2 extensions will continue to be supported through Enterprise policies at least until the date in the Chromium Manifest V2 support timeline. Since Google will be removing it as of v139, can we expect the same for Edge? Just trying to plan out notification to some groups who use custom extensions (ie: from vendors or internally created) that they will see the older extensions be removed/disabled. Thank you!717Views4likes0Comments
