Re: Trace route from M365 (Teams) to my public IP
Hi jonasb120, we have a tool to help you with this. It shows the same forward TCP routes that you can perform and not UDP routes. But will give you an idea. The next step you would need to take is to follow up with each network provider between your network and Microsoft's ASN 8075 network. I'm from the team that publishes this tool. I cannot reproduce any digital signature error and the tool is running all tests ok. Can you share a few screenshots showing what this error is and where in the tool execution it occurs so I can take a look? Jonard_Cabeliza I searched for the text you shared on the Internet, and it appears to be from an AV product that is known for false positives. To avoid my assumption here can you share the name of the product you are using? Paul1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: 'Lockdown" Malicious Behavior prevented in NetworkOnboardingClient
Jonard_Cabeliza You have some software on your computer which is blocking the test. You can check the downloaded executable to verify that it was signed by Microsoft so that you can trust it. You then need to identify the software on your computer that is blocking it. This isn't caused by the connectivity test tool. Regards, Paul2.3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Backhauled network egress
Nikhil1894 the recommendation is to avoid backhauling but instead to have Internet egress at each office location. The network insight for this in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center will show up if we detect backhauling of 500 miles or more since that would have a noticeable effect. You can read more about this recommendation at http://aka.ms/pnc750Views0likes0CommentsRe: Trouble identifying cause for network problems
EikeKortz381 This isn't likely any Microsoft software blocking these and it's not likely part of your Microsoft 365 tenant. Does your network have network perimeter firewalls, proxy servers, cloud access security brokers, or do you have a network security team? Those are all possibilities that you would need to investigate. You can run the conectivity.office.com test from other network locations to narrow down the issue. Try running it from home, from a coffee shop, from other machines to find where the network filtering is occurring. Paul3.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Trouble identifying cause for network problems
EikeKortz381 If the test you are using is from https://connectivity.office.com and it's reporting that URLs in Office 365 are blocked, you would expect all sorts of problems using Office 365. You will need to unblock those URLs as the next step before further troubleshooting. For 1, you can convert from CSV to TSV using PowerShell or Excel and we have a backlog item to update to match CQD. For 2, you can download the current CSV, edit it and reupload it as described in the UX on the screen accessed from "Manage multiple locations". There is also a link to the help documentation for this on that screen. Here's the help: https://learn.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/enterprise/office-365-network-mac-perf-overview#csv-import-for-lan-subnet-office-locations Regards, Paul2.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tool comes to Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant
Mipomaker can you please test the failing FQDNs with a curl command on the same machine? The Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant tool (SaRA) now includes running network connectivity testing using the Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tool. Read about SaRA here. We have documented the integration of SaRA with Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tools here. Let us know what you think of this and how your network connectivity tests are going? Hi Matthias_Glubrecht, What is going on is we have some other network endpoint data which you don't see and it was getting counted. We've changed the behavior from the 2022082800 version so that we will only count the ones you can see and the count should be as expected. This also means we wont bump the version number if there are no endpoint changes that you can see. This issue of the unexpected counting was only in the /version/ API and you can rely on the /endpoint/ and /changes/ APIs for all versions. Hope that helps. Sharing controls are in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under Health -> Network Connectivity -> Settings -> Sharing and user-submitted reports. FYI There is no email sent when a report is shared. The receiving user should navigate to https://connectivity.office.com/reports to see them.2.1KViews1like8CommentsJust released stand-alone test client for Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tool
The Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tool has just been updated with a stand-alone EXE added for more flexibility in testing. The stand-alone EXE allows you to run the same tests without having to load the web site. This will be useful if you want to automate the tests and you can deploy the EXE to the client machines using your software distribution tools. The output of the tests is saved to a JSON file on the local hard drive rather than showing up on the web page or in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You can read the help and download the stand-alone EXE here: https://docs.microsoft.com/Microsoft-365/Enterprise/office-365-network-mac-perf-onboarding-tool#testing-from-the-command-line We also updated both the stand-alone EXE and the original test tool to .NET 6.0 and this means if you have run the tool from the web site before and run it again you will be prompted to update. https://connectivity.office.com Please try out the new stand-alone EXE and let us know your feedback here.7KViews0likes10CommentsRe: Just released stand-alone test client for Microsoft 365 network connectivity test tool
Hi Shawn, Go to the help page. Click "Testing from the Command Line" in the "In this article" section at the right. You will see the text "The command line test tool can be downloaded here: Command Line Tool" The words Command Line Tool is a link. Regards, Paul6.1KViews0likes1Comment
