Many thanks for your reply & taking the time I really do think I'm out of luck though. I just don't understand that when i chose "discard changes" that it didn't just go back to the way it was before the error! Hi there I recently made a massive mistake in excel! Even though i "discarded changes" problem still exists! I used the "find & replace all" function & wanted to replace all the "." with ":" i only wanted it to change anything showing a time or date & completely forgot all my finance side of things got effected. Now when i open the document ALL my money entrees are stuck showing the wrong amount & there's no way i can remember what they were. I do have a backed up copy but it's a week or so old & not up to date. I do know from looking at the backed up copy that for example if i change the "." in £11.90 then changes it to £0.46 (in the entree part at the top it says "0.464583333333333" Can any PLEASE help me to get it all back to normal?
