Shikha_Varshney I just noticed something appeared in my test account under "About Teams" in Settings of new Teams client that say Early access -> Public preview as below. Would like to get more details on how this should work now or in the near future. For now, when I select the "Public preview" tickbock, it didn't ask for Teams restart or signout/relogin as per the Teams classic. How do we know when the "Public preview" features will be available/activated? As that is no indicator of "EA" in profile photo or top left corner of the new Teams client.Re: Problem, the indicator “EA” on avatar for Microsoft Teams Public Preview in missing
Please refer to https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/introducing-microsoft-teams-support-for-microsoft-365-targeted/ba-p/3804259 Note: If a user is in Targeted release as well as Teams Public Preview program, then Targeted release will take the precedence which means: - User will not see EA indicator on profile picture for Public Preview.Re: When will Teams Public Preview opt-in be available in the new Teams 2.1 client?
Shikha_Varshney Jan_Steberl Any updates on this? After users switch to new Teams client, there is no options to enable Public preview anymore as not able to locate "About > Public preview". What is the plan/future of Teams Public Preview in new Teams client that will be the only option after 31 March 2024?"Shared channel" issues - extra normal channel(s) with no access were shown in Teams Public Preview
Jan_Steberl When a user gets added to a "Shared channel" in an internal team, it is showing properly in the old Teams client. When user opt-in to Teams Public Preview, it start populating others normal channels within that internal teams that user don't have access to as well in the view. This is very annoying and confusing for the user. I have submit "Give feedback" from the app. When we switch to new Teams 2.1, it has similar behavior but only showing part of the normal channel that user don't have access to.When will Teams Public Preview opt-in be available in the new Teams 2.1 client?
Jan_Steberl As MS has announced that New Teams 2.1 client will be set as default for most tenant from September 2023, what is the plan/timeline to integrate Teams Public Preview features opt-in in the new Teams 2.1 client?SolvedRe: Teams meetings have a heavy white haze over incoming video
As per suggestion in the reply under https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/no-incoming-video/m-p/2444563 fix the same issues for me In Teams: General Settings -> Disable GPU Hardware Acceleration -> Restart Teams2.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: In public preview: Meeting co-organizer
I am not able to see the "Choose co-organisers" option in Meeting options in the test account I enabled for Teams public preview on Teams desktop v1.5.00.3866. I have try quitting the Teams client and turn off and turn on Teams Public Preview but still don't have the co-organiser option.Re: Managed Mode?
I don't think this is available for Public Preview yet. It is what it says in the release note but with more details below from the Product team: ------------------------------------------------------------- Currently, attendees in a structured meeting will see all videos on the screen and any content that is shown on the screen. This includes avatars of people in the meeting, and videos of those who are not speaking. This may be cumbersome if you want attendees to only see a limited set of videos or content for very structured meetings such as Town Halls, Webinars, and Conferences. We are introducing a new feature - Managed Mode - which forces attendees to only see Spotlighted videos, and any content that is shared. The Presenter view and the Organizer's View will not change while Managed Mode is on for Managed Mode's first release. You must specify attendees and presenters in this meeting for Managed Mode to function properly. -------------------------------------------------- P/S: Hence as per my previous comment in other post, We can't really trust the Release Notes of M365 Apps Current Channel (Preview) as it is NOT aligned to the actual flight status in Teams Public Preview which is really annoying.Re: Now in Teams Public Preview: Default file open setting for office files
Good to see this is public preview. However, I am really seeing the mismatch in the Release notes. This feature was listed as available in 12 May 2021 M365 Current Channel (Preview) release note https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/officeupdates/current-channel-preview#version-2105-may-12 but it is only available for public preview in July 2021. How could we trust the release note then???Re: Teams Public Preview update
Kaushal-Mehta Sorry that I can't attend the meeting for the sync earlier today as it is for 4:30am my time in Australia. So, Teams GA features will be added to M365Apps CC release notes, when will this start? ATM, the last details of Teams features are back in 27 Oct 2020.Re: Teams Public Preview update
Kaushal-Mehta Will there be any reference/release note when the features in public preview become GA?? It has been more than a month since the December public preview features release, will really like to have some indication on when it start GA. Look like https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/current-channel-preview still not updated with details of new public preview features flight in January 2021.
