SharePoint 2019 Installation Question
Which user account do I log in with to install SharePoint Server? Domain/admin local/admin or one of the twenty SharePoint Service accounts that documentation says must be created within the SharePoint farm? Personally I'd expected the SharePoint installer to create all the necessary service accounts for me but apparently that is not the case. So I ask again. I have a Domain Controller I have a Domain Member Server with SQLserver installed I have a Domain Member Server named SharePoint to install SharePoint on Which user account do I login with to run the installation? The local admin, the domain/admin or some other account I need to create?955Views0likes0CommentsSharepoint 3.0 Migration to Sharepoint 2016

The old Server 2003 server was converted to a VM and it still works. So as I fiddle around learning the new modern Sharepoint 2019 I began to wander. Could some of my old sites be reborn...1.5KViews0likes1CommentAccidently Deleted Sharepoint 2019 root Web Application
In new install of Sharepoint 2019: WEB Applications shows two Applications: SharePoint - 80 http://macdc/ SharePoint Central Administration v4 http://macdc:8505/ I foolishly selected the 'sharePoint - 80' Application and clicked the DELETE button. This seemed to remove the App: However, it appears IIS doesn't like what I did and I need to recover. There is no backup and nothing is in the cloud. So I need to start over since I don't find any simple way to recover from this foolish mistake. Not a big deal since this is only a test setup for learning and I just learned my first lesson; don't delete the root site. However it would be nice to know if there were an easy way to recover from such a disaster should it happen in the future. suggestions?924Views0likes0Comments
