Re: AVD Media Not Connected
Is the 3rd PC an unsupported endpoint (e.g. Windows Server OS)? If it's a supported endpoint, could you try reset the Teams cache on the cloudPC to ensure the correct shim is loaded? To reset Teams cache: First, make sure Teams is not running. Then on the VM side delete %appdata%/Microsoft/Teams directory. When you restart Teams it will want you to login and will recreate the cache as part of that.16KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Microsoft Teams Secondary Ringer is now generally available on Windows 365

We are happy to announce that Live Captions are now generally available in Teams on Windows 365! Providing accessibility has been an important priority and top customer request. Now Teams on Windows 365 can detect what's being said and whos saying it with real-time captions. This feature is designed for those who prefer visual cues when engaging with meeting participants and ensures everyone can follow the conversation effectively. For example, with Live Captions, Windows 365 users can View the text spoken by each person displayed by their name. Change the spoken language (28 different languages available). Use Live Captions to keep up with the discussion when there's poor audio quality during a virtual meeting. Refer back to meeting conversations in text format to better understand what is being, or was, said. Getting started with Live Captions To use Live Captions in Teams on Windows 365, see Use live captions in a Teams meeting. It's easy to get started and you won't need to update Teams. Transcripts and Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) features are not available with this release, but will be coming soon. Teams Live Captions is also available on Azure Virtual Desktop. For more information, see the Azure Virtual Desktop Blog.1.5KViews1like0CommentsPublic preview of Multimedia Redirection upgrades on Windows 365

Thanks for the feedback. We found and fixed an issue late last week during the Background Effects rollout that effected a portion of the population. The fix is already rolling out and should be 100% by end of week. The fix is on the backend so there is nothing for the user to install. If you still cannot use Background Effects by end of week (5/27), do let us know. We are here to help.4KViews0likes9CommentsMicrosoft Teams Multi-window support and Call Me are now in GA on Azure Virtual Desktop
We are happy to announce that Teams Multi-window support and Call Me are now in GA on Azure Virtual Desktop. Multi-window capability provides users the option to pop out chats, meetings, calls, or documents into separate windows to help streamline their workflow. It also brings new experiences to Azure Virtual Desktop, such as Call Me. Previously, during a Teams meeting, if a user went to check their calendar, the meeting window would minimize to the corner of the screen. Now with Multi-window support, users can view full-sized separate windows for meetings/calls and the main Teams client during a Teams meeting. Additionally, meeting and call controls such as mute, video, chat, leave, and more are now located at the top of the meeting window so that they are always available and never block the underlying content. Separate windows – View meetings and calls in separate windows from the main Microsoft Teams client. Meeting controls – Easier access to meeting controls now located at the top of the meeting screen, out of the way of content and video being shared. Call me - A new feature allowing users a way to transfer a Teams call to their phone over a PTSN network. Getting Started To use Microsoft Teams Multi-window, the latest Teams Desktop version 1.5.00.11865 (download MSI here, download EXE here) is required to enable the feature on Azure Virtual Desktop. After the Teams desktop client is updated to version 1.5.00.11865, you will see a banner (see screenshot below) when you open the new Teams desktop client for the first time. Restart Teams desktop app to turn on Multi-window. To verify Multi-window is on, right-click on any chat and if “pop out chat” is showing in the options, Multi-window has been successfully turned on. Call me feature is automatically available with Multi-window. Refer to Set up the Call me feature on how to set up your phone. Set up Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop New to the service? Refer to the Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop documentation on how to set up Microsoft Teams. Teams on Windows 365 Teams Multi-window is also available on Windows 365. We are happy to announce that Microsoft Teams Secondary Ringer is rolling out this week to the public on Azure Virtual Desktop. Secondary Ringer is a voice calling feature that allows Teams to signal an inbound call on multiple devices. Previously, only one sound output device was used to notify users of an incoming Teams call. For example, if the default device was a headset, the user may miss incoming calls when not wearing it. Secondary ringer allows Teams to signal the arrival of an inbound call on two devices, which means you can have two sound output devices of your choice to ring (e.g., your PC and headphones) when there is an incoming Teams call. Setting a Secondary Ringer To set a secondary ringer, go to the “Devices” section of Teams settings and select a device from the “Secondary Ringer” drop-down list. Secondary ringer will not work: If you are not connected to more than one suitable device, you cannot set a secondary ringer. If a device is not online (like a Bluetooth headset that is powered off), it cannot be used. If you remove your PC from a situation where the secondary ringer is unavailable (for example, unplug a laptop and move out of the range of the headset’s Bluetooth connection), Teams removes the secondary ringer, and you’ll have to reconfigure it after you reconnect. Getting Started To use Microsoft Teams Secondary Ringer, the minimum Windows Desktop Client version 1.2.3004 is required to enable the feature on Azure Virtual Desktop. Setup Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop New to the service? Refer to the Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop documentation on how to setup Microsoft Teams.4.3KViews0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Teams Secondary Ringer is now generally available on Windows 365
