Now in Public Preview & Targeted release: Teams Discover Feed
For all features, refer: What's new in Microsoft Teams Public Preview & Targeted Release - Microsoft Support Description The Teams Discover Feed is a personalized, relevance-based feed of Teams channel content available in a scrollable view for undirected channel content, intended to solve information discovery and awareness issues for Teams users. Discover Feed brings customized content that helps you catch up on people or topics or channels you are interested in, in your team or the broader organization. Discover Feed surfaces channel posts of interest to the user based on the people they work with or the topics they might be interested in, which they would have otherwise missed out on. It is any content which users are not explicitly notified through mentions, replies, tags etc. or they don’t need to triage on an urgent basis but based on topics of interest or people in the network that the content covers, it is still interesting/informative and adds value to the user. Some additional features the feed provides to give users control– Users can see why the post is relevant to them, along with the feedback mechanism to share with the product -if the post was useful to them or not. Users can control the content they view on the feed from the ellipsis or three dot menu ( …), users can even choose to stop seeing posts from the specific person or channel. Hello Ching-Yoong Chang, thanks for your question. The option to enable Public Preview will soon be available in new Teams. I will post an announcement on the tech community when it is launched. Please stay tuned for update. Thanks!Re: User's 'Switch to Public Preview' gone
bughit Thank you for your questions. 1. Both Public preview and Targeted release provide early access to Teams features. New channels experience was gradually rolled out to both the programs. Most of the other features should be available to users in both the programs at the time of announcement. Here is how you can decide on the best early access option for Teams If you want consistent early access experiences across Microsoft 365 services, use Targeted release If you want consistent early access experiences across Microsoft 365 apps, use Current Channel (Preview) and set the Teams Admin Center (or PowerShell) Public Preview policy to “Follow Office Preview” If you want early access only for Teams, use Teams Public Preview If you want in-depth engagement with the Teams product group under NDA (with associated program participation requirements), join Teams Private Preview (Technology Adoption Program). Note: this program is currently at capacity. 2. You can set Targeted release for everyone in your tenant as well as specific users. Here is the doc for details. Hope this helps. Thank you!Re: User's 'Switch to Public Preview' gone
bughit great questions. Please find answers below. 1. Seeing "Developer preview" checked under About is a known bug for Targeted release user. Clicking on the developer preview has no effect on experience. This bug will be fixed soon. 2. We are doing gradual rollout of new channels experience. That's why some of you might not be seeing it. Hope this clarifies. Thank you!Re: User's 'Switch to Public Preview' gone
Hi everyone, we recently rolled out an update to add Teams support for Targeted release customers. If a user is in Targeted release as well as Teams Public Preview program, then Targeted release will take the precedence which means: 1. User will not see EA indicator on profile picture for Public Preview. 2. If the user is in Public Preview with 'Teams update policy -> Allow Public Preview' set to "Enabled", then that user will not have the option to opt in/out of Public Preview from the client. Here is the announcement post for reference - Introducing Microsoft Teams support for Microsoft 365 Targeted Release commercial cloud customers - Microsoft Community Hub Please let us know if you still have questions. Thank you for being the early adopters of Teams.Re: New indicator “EA” on avatar for Microsoft Teams Public Preview users
pnthrzrule Thanks for your question. Based on the information you shared, I think you might be a part of M365 Targeted release program as well to get early feature updates. Can you please confirm? Here are the steps. We are rolling out Teams support for M365 Targeted release. As part of this update (MC post - MC566315), If you're a part of both Public preview and Targeted release programs, then Targeted release will take precedence. Therefore, you will see the Teams client experience for Targeted release users. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for being early adopter and shaping Teams experience. Regards, ShikhaRe: New indicator “EA” on avatar for Microsoft Teams Public Preview users

Microsoft Teams Public Preview channel allows customers to easily preview and evaluate pre-release Teams features before they roll out to the rest of their company. There are no program requirements or commitments. This is an opt-in channel controlled via IT admin policy. Users who are in the Public Preview channel of Teams will see "EA" (Early Access) next to their profile picture indicating that they have early access to Teams features in public preview (as shown in the image below). To learn more about Teams Public Preview and how to set/update the preview policy, please refer Public preview in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs To get the latest update on the features in Public Preview, follow or subscribe to this Microsoft Tech Community page.
