Partner renewal - What is going on?!

Copper Contributor

We have logged a ticket with MS partner support but so far no reply.

The problem we are facing is that we have a -2 on net customer adds.

When digging into the figures, we are seeing loss of customers that do still exist and are active. But worse still, we are seeing customers on that list THAT ARE NOT OUR CUSTOMERS, to the total of 3.

That makes 4 customers in total on our "In Decline" list which should not be there.

Looking at other figures (no change list) there are also customers who are not ours.

Has anyone else experienced these kind of issues?

Based on current figures, we need to add 11 new customers with minimum 11 users before March/April. This is impossible.

Skilling and customer growth we have maximum points possible.

This will be the first year in 10 years we have been unable to obtain partner

@BenG_UK I am sorry to hear of your issues here. When did you submit your support request? It takes them some time to reply, up to a week.

I don't know much about this issue and I haven't read about anyone else experiencing it, but hopefully if someone has they will chime in with how the fixed it.

I am glad you submitted a ticket as it seems that is the best way to move forward. Keep us posted on what happens and how you get it rectified. Sorry I can't be of more help. 🙂

Hi Jill,
I have had a response from support, we did a screen sharing session and they confirmed the tenant ID's which are not our customers also do not match the tenant name which is being displayed in partner centre either.

It has been escalated but it is quite concerning we can see other customers tenant names that are not ours 🙂

AGREED!! Can you keep us updated on the progress and what is found?
No resolution yet, but it seems those tenants have been associated on our scoring for more than a year despite not actually being our customer or us even having transacted with them. One is a Spanish company and one seems to be from Africa.

No resolution currently.......
To update, this is apparently a known issue. Investigation is continuing 'backend' and we have accepted a manual override for the points that we would have otherwise counted as negative..

Just incase you needed anymore evidence that the partner system is not fit for purpose 🙂
Further update, our scoring updated and now we have two more unknown customers, and another few in growth which show in decline which are not our customers and never have been.

We also have customers showing decline when they shouldn't be.

Partner Center is a complete mess at this stage.

Good job we don't need to renew anytime soon.... oh wait...
