How to unban my account?

Copper Contributor

Hi! My account has been banned from Microsoft Tech Community, which I believe was a mistake. My ban was due to "external ads/links not allowed on Tech Community." But I had posted only two comments, both relevant to the questions and containing links that could have provided a solution.
I also saw a lot of different answers with links, and they were not banned. So, it makes me think that ban was an accident. Moreover, I did not find any rules, that I could have broken.
I'm now seeking assistance on how to unban my account.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! Happy to help.

Please email our team at techcommunity@microsoft.com and we'd be happy to investigate. Please provide the username or user ID (or even email address associated) for the account that was banned so we can take a look.
Thank you!

@v_sitolenko,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with your banned account on the Microsoft Tech Community. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. As a Microsoft expert, I'll do my best to assist you.

To address your concern, I recommend contacting the Microsoft Tech Community moderation team directly for assistance with unbanning your account.

They are responsible for enforcing community guidelines and handling account-related issues. You can reach out to them by sending an email to [email protected] or by using the "Contact Us" option available on the Tech Community website.

When reaching out to the moderation team, it would be helpful to provide them with specific details about your situation, including the relevant posts and links that you believe may have triggered the ban. Be polite and concise in your message, explaining your understanding of the guidelines and expressing your desire to resolve the issue. The moderation team will review your case and provide you with further guidance.

In the future, please ensure that any links or external references you include in your posts align with the community guidelines and policies. While some links may be permitted if they contribute directly to the discussion or provide relevant solutions, it's essential to review the guidelines to avoid any unintentional violations.

I hope this information helps you in resolving the issue with your account. If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck, and I hope you can regain access to the Microsoft Tech Community soon!

Kind regards,
@ow6nmusk

Subject: Request to Unban Microsoft Rewards Account

Dear Microsoft Rewards Team,

I am writing this email to request the unbanning of my Microsoft Rewards account. My account was recently banned, and I am unsure of the reason why. I have been a loyal Microsoft user for years and have always followed the terms and conditions of the Microsoft Rewards program.

I have contacted the support team, but I have not received a clear explanation for the ban. I understand that there might have been a misunderstanding or an error in the system, but I am willing to cooperate to resolve any issue that might have caused the ban.

I use Microsoft products every day and enjoy participating in the Rewards program. It would be disappointing for me to lose access to the program, as it has been an essential part of my Microsoft experience.

I request you to review my account and provide me with an explanation for the ban, so I can take corrective measures if needed. I assure you that I will comply with the program's terms and conditions and any additional requirements to maintain my account in good standing.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

@Lekhrajbhargav95gmail Hello! Please note we have removed the reply from @ow6nmusk as they are not a Microsoft employee.

This is the Microsoft Tech Community, and our team here is not connected to Microsoft Rewards, so we are unable to help you with any issues regarding Microsoft Rewards.

I'm afraid you'd need to reach back out to the support team (support.microsoft.com) as we won't be able to assist you further in this matter. Sorry about that!
