Bluetooth headset PTT messaging

I'm a consultant for a Bluetooth accessory manufacturer.  Where can I find documentation of how PTT activations are communicated to the Teams Android app?

I guess the silence means Microsoft's Walkie Talkie app doesn't support PTT activation directly from a Bluetooth device. 

This indicates to me the BlueParrot headset, which advertises it does provide PTT on the Walkie Talkie app, must have it's own "helper app" that receives the Bluetooth PTT notification and then triggers the Walkie Talkie app via an API call.  Sound correct?
