Got an employee that still receives notifications for a meeting that no longer exists. Have logged her out then back in, cleared cache, cleared data, re-installed and verified with the owner/creator of the meeting that the meeting has been deleted. She only gets this on her iPhone and no where else. Ideas?12Views0likes0CommentsHow do you handle rewards & recognition in MS Teams?
I'm curious to learn how other organizations are managing rewards and recognition programs within Microsoft Teams. Are you using built-in features like praise badges and announcements, third-party apps from the Teams store, or custom solutions integrated through Power Platform?8Views0likes0CommentsBest survey tool for Microsoft Teams?
Because Forms isn't cutting it anymore! What would you recommend as the best employee survey tool to use inside Microsoft Teams. We definitely need a survey solution that functions inside Teams because the second our team has to open another app, survey completion rates drop fast. Forms was a simple rudimentary solution but now I think we need a more sophisticated tool with better anlytics. Any thoughts?9Views0likes0CommentsStarLeaf + Teams integration
Hi all, I have a user that wants to integrate StarLeaf into one of his Microsoft Teams group. He is not the owner of the group. The issue he reported: "Currently, Starleaf for Teams is installed, but when there is any attempt to setup using the integration token generated from our systems admin in Starleaf, an error occurs." The link for instructions he used: https://support.starleaf.com/integrating/starleaf-for-microsoft-teams/#3-Install+StarLeaf+for One of the errors he gets: "Something went wrong. Reinstall StarLeaf for Teams." Any idea of what to do? Kind regards, Dino1.6KViews1like6CommentsAndroid phone stuck in login loop for account with previous organisation
Hi. I've recently joined a new organisation and want to have Teams active on my phone as I did with a previous organisation. Unfortunately, my app is stuck in a login loop, I can't log in to log out (my account has been deactivated) and I can't find any place to remove any further user accounts in the system. Basically, I can't use Teams on my phone until I can find away to fix this. Any suggestions?85KViews3likes17CommentsVideo Tutorial: How To Use The Microsoft Teams Games For Work App
Microsoft recently added the ability to https://youtu.be/JxKLNVRtIJI. In this Microsoft Teams https://youtu.be/JxKLNVRtIJI, I will demonstrate how to use the Microsoft Teams Games For Work app. This app can be added to MS Teams meetings and allows participants to play from one of four games (at the time of release): Microsoft Solitaire, Microsoft Minesweeper, Wordament and IceBreakers. Note that you cannot use this app outside of meetings (i.e. you cannot play games directly in the MS Teams app) and each game supports 1-250 players. The app can also be used on the Microsoft Teams mobile application and is mobile responsive meaning meeting participants joining from their mobile device can also participate in the games. Lastly, the app can also be used in Microsoft Team meeting breakout rooms. To add the Games For Work App to a Microsoft Teams meeting: Click the “+ Add An App” button Search for and select “Games For Work” What are you thoughts about this app?Solved40KViews0likes11CommentsKeep your Microsoft Teams in VDI client up to date to ensure the best user experience
In the fast-evolving world of collaboration tools, Microsoft Teams stands as a cornerstone of productivity. But as with any modern software, staying current isn’t just about accessing the latest features—it’s also about ensuring your tenant is up to date on the latest security, performance, and compliance. This is where the concept of Teams sedimentation becomes critical. In this blog, we want to cover some of the key terms that IT Admins for VDI need to understand as we move into stricter minimum version enforcements, and end of availability of Classic Teams. What Is Teams Sedimentation? Sedimentation refers to the accumulation of outdated Teams client versions across an organization. These clients, often left behind due to manual golden image update processes in non-persistent VDI, or legacy deployment practices on Server Based Computing, can become incompatible with the Teams services over time. Microsoft governs Teams under the Modern Lifecycle Policy, which mandates that desktop clients remain up to date to stay supported and functional. Enforcement of this policy is achieved via two main mechanisms. When a Teams client in VDI is: 60–90 days out of date, users begin to see in-app alerts (dismissible warning banners, shown at application launch time) Over 90 days out of date, a blocking page appears, preventing access until the client is updated by the user (in persistent VDI) or the Admin (in non-persistent) This policy ensures that both users and Admins receive value from a wide range of benefits: End User benefits IT Admin benefits Improved Performance and Experience Staying up to date ensures that users benefit from the latest performance enhancements and a smoother, more reliable Teams experience—especially with the new SlimCore media engine. Policy Enforcement and Lifecycle Compliance Staying current aligns with Microsoft’s Modern Lifecycle Policy, which mandates up-to-date clients for support and functionality. Access to New Features Users on current versions can take advantage of the latest collaboration tools, UI improvements, and integrations that enhance productivity. Supportability Running consistent, supported versions across the organization reduces variability and simplifies diagnostics and support. Admins can use the Teams Admin Center and Call Quality Dashboard to monitor client versions and proactively manage updates. Security and Compliance Updated clients receive the latest security patches, reducing exposure to vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Avoid End-of-Life Penalties Classic Teams will reach end of availability on July 1, 2025. Users still on Classic Teams will face blocking pages and degraded performance if not upgraded. Why is keeping up-to-date more important than ever in VDI? With the release of the new optimization for VDI (based on the SlimCore media engine used in native Windows Teams as well), Microsoft will automatically update SlimCore based on the Teams version you have on the VM. If Teams is not auto-updating, neither is SlimCore. This is not a good place to be on – while all the Teams cloud services and most of the Teams app code is auto-updating (even if you used the disableAutoUpdate registry key for non-persistent VDI), you are now running a disjointed combination of components that are all out of sync. This will inevitably lead to poor user experience. Understanding Teams Builds Outdating Schedule In order to understand when a specific Teams version will become outdated, you should monitor this table (updated every Friday) and always use the next version release dates to calculate. As an example, let’s look at version 25031, released on March 4 th . The clock for a version only starts ticking after the next one is released, in this case 25044 on March 13 th . So we add 60 and 90 days to March 13 th and we end up with dismissible banners being shown on June 6 th and blocking pages on June 29 th . Important: Microsoft starts the rollouts on those dates on lower Rings like the public preview channel – it might take a few additional days to reach 100% of the user base). End-of-support dates for Microsoft Teams on Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 are October 2025 and October 2026, respectively. For further information, check this link. We encourage customers on Windows Server 2019 to migrate to Windows Server 2025, which is now fully supported in VDI while it's in Mainstream Support, until October 2029. If you want to reach out to us regarding any Windows Server question, please fill this form. What about Classic Teams As we are rapidly approaching the End of Availability date for Classic Teams (July 1 st 2025) – we are urging customers to upgrade to new Teams as soon as possible – while we are allowing customers to run Classic Teams until that date, you must be using a relatively recent version of the product (1.8.00.4966). Come July 1 st , VDI users will see a blocking page urging them to upgrade or use Teams on Web (which is not supported and NOT even optimized, incurring in server-side rendering penalties on CPU/RAM/BW). How can you query for the existing Teams version in your organization? Teams Admin Center has Usage reports (under Analytics and reports) that you can use to spot old versions. Call Quality Dashboard can be used as well. Conclusion We encourage you to talk to the multiple teams in your organization that have jurisdiction over image management practices and validation, and share the update cadence that is expected for Microsoft Teams. An up-to-date Teams client will provide the best user experience, latest fixes, and, because of the new optimization architecture, an up-to-date SlimCore media engine.3.7KViews0likes2CommentsCamera works fine, except it won't transmit video in Teams
This problem is baffling me completely, and I've worked in IT Application support for almost 40 years. I hope someone can help me resolve it. A family member has a very important family court hearing to attend via Teams in a few weeks so I'd like to help her out. This is a Lenovo laptop (Ideapad 330S-14IKB) with a built in SunplusIT webcam. The camera works perfectly in Google Meet and Zoom, but not in Teams. I can see my own video feed on my screen but the other Teams meeting users cannot see my image. The camera is enabled in Teams. Some things I have already tried: Updated webcam driver from Windows Updated webcam driver directly from Lenovo site Ensured Windows 11 is up to date Checked privacy settings to ensure Teams app is permitted to use camera Uninstalled any other apps (e.g. Zoom, Skype) that may be using the camera Cleared Teams cache folders and restarted Uninstalled and reinstalled Teams Performed a partial Windows reset, retaining user data Performed a full Windows reset, erasing the hard drive Some other symptoms and things I've noted Camera works fine on my own Teams window and I can see my own image Camera transmits video correctly when the other party is on Android Camera stops transmitting video when other party is using Windows The same problem occurs using Teams in a browser web app, with either Edge or Chrome Screen sharing works fine Camera works fine in Google Meet (web) and Zoom (app) The problem persists if I log into the laptop with another user account The laptop has a fresh install of Office 365 What on earth is happening and what else can I try? I'm very technical but this has beaten me!2.5KViews1like2CommentsSecuring Microsoft Teams Best Practice & Cleanup
Working on a Teams environment that is fully wide open. They have seen a huge number of Teams created and are looking to get it under control from here on out and clean up. Wanted some advice on what you recommend doing and if you have the instructions to complete those tasks. My thoughts would be Block Team creation where IT would need to be involved. I believe this could be accomplished by blocking M365 Group creation. Way to expire or archive old Teams with no activity in X amount of time? Also, how are you handling guest invitations or access? Doing anything that allows but might secure things better for the organization. Thanks all.202Views0likes6CommentsSupport RTL Languages on MacOS
As now, It seems Microsoft teams on MacOS does not support RTL languages when texts are being typed. This makes bad feeling when users want to read the text they've typed. The issue becomes worst when the text contains English phrase (when the message is sent) As far as I remember, Skype did support RTL languages when the texts are being typed.155Views12likes2Comments
