The cover keyboard / keypad suddenly stopped functioning - I am unable to operate any of the keys. Surface works fine if I use the onboard keypad via the screen. Have tried all I know with no success. Can anyone help me please?
@DaddyBaker Does the touchpad still work? I had a similar issue on my newer Surface Pro where my touchpad and keyboard weren't working, although it was on a newer Surface Pro than what you have. It seemed to be fixed by cleaning the connectors on the device itself and on the type cover and a lot of dethatching and reattaching it.
Also, if you haven't already tried this, go to the Device Manager, and try updating the driver of the "Surface Type Cover" in the Keyboards section.
