MS Teams - Outlook Calendar - Surface Hubs
I have a question.
We get a lot of user complaints about a room, booked via MS-Teams/Outlook with a Surface Hub where the attendees do not turn up to use the room. Got more of a issue with new hybrid working.
The actual meeting may take place but with no physical attendees from the invited room.
Is there anyway that if the Surface Hub is not activated it can remove its invite and make the room available again, say after 15 mins of a start time?

Hello Andrew Porter,
I don't believe this is possible since a resource account can be used to book a room without any online meeting capabilities, but you can have a look at the Set-CalendarProcessing cmdlet which handles the behavior and availability of a resource account.
However, Surface Hub allows users to "Sign-in in My Meetings and Files" and join a meeting without having to book the meeting room in advance. This means that you can remove the Surface Hub address from the meeting invite to free up the room and still join the call if a user is physically present in the room.
Hope this helps,
Cezar
