Installing 3rd party apps directly to surface hub hard drive

Copper Contributor

Hello all, I have gotten a MS surface hub. I have reimagined the hard drive to be a standard MS Surface hub Windows 11 image. I don’t have any domain linked to the Surface Hub or an Mdm management. I created a local admin account and was able to install some apps through the MS Store. I wanted direction on how to install other apps from the web to the surface hub device. I can download .exe files to the hub through Edge but am unable to run them. I plan to remove the hard drive, manually install the apps from my personal computer, and load the .exe to the Surface Hub hard drive. Any tips or instructions would be appreciated. I would also like info on loading files like pdf that would remain permanent unless later removed onto the hard drive as well. Thanks

Hello @Mrajpoot,

If you are using Surface Hub Teams OS, please familiarize yourself with this article to understand the concept of the device and how it's intended to be used.

However, if you have installed Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise as detailed in this article, it will not be any different than as you would do it on a regular PC

Thank you,

Cezar
