Help Surface Hub 3 Smart Cam Auto-frame
Hi Everyone, I am new to the Tech Community and I'm reaching out to seek some insights regarding an issue we've encountered with the Surface Hub 3 Smart Cam. We've noticed that when using the cam...
- Apr 17, 2024Hi Andrea,
I could not reproduce this behavior on the Surface Hub 3. However, I have also noticed it on the Surface Hub 2 with MTR-W.
I recommend opening a support case with Microsoft.

Hi Joey,
I'll test it again with both the Surface Hub 3 and the Surface Hub 2S with the MTR-W Update that we have and i'll get back to you with the results.
If it persists i will open a support case as you suggested.
Thanks again.

Andrea_Ragadini I have the same issue on an updated surface 2s. Our management team are not happy.
What did Microsoft say? I'm being asked to downgrade 😥
- Andrea_RagadiniMay 30, 2024Copper ContributorHi MrNick since then I have found that on W11 the Smart AI Cam has Auto-Focus disabled as default, if you enable it from the camera settings inside W11 it goes back to work as intended even though on MTR the auto focus is really slow sometimes, on W11 works flawlessly.
Hope it helps.- MrNickJun 14, 2024Iron Contributor
This worked once, but on reboot its reverted to framing not working. I think our friends in Microsoft broke this badly. We are being recommended to downgrade 😞
Did you have any further updates / case reference I can push them on. They are trying to say this isnt a bug.

Hi MrNick
I think our surface hubs keep the setting even when rebooted, although I'm not in office right now and I'm not 100% shure.
We have found that sometimes physically removing the Cam from the hub resets the setting altough it doesn't happen everytime.
I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can test it.
