Support migrating from Project Online to Project for the web
Hi All
Hoping for some help / guidance
Ive been using Project online for a number of years now and the enterprise features have become integral into our business now, the main one being resource management across all of our projects.
With the recent pushes to use Project for the web and (from what ive seen online) the eventual retirement of Project online in favour of Project for the web I need to start planning on how to migrate.
It seems that project for the web isnt an enterprise solution yet, does anyone know if there is a timeline for this as, as previously mentioned, resource management through plan is a key feature we need to retain?
Other key bits for me would be for custom column creation, On Project online I just need to create an additional column once and it will appear in all projects, it seems like this isnt available in Project for the web so we'd have to rely on project managers creating the same column over and over again in every plan.
Does anyone know of a microsoft partner who can help walk through the migration and how to retain the key enterprise features we need?
Thanks for your help in advance
Matt
Hello Matthew Russell ,
If you haven't done so yet, I'd register for MS Ignite and attend this session https://ignite.microsoft.com/en-US/sessions/d0822e59-dd3b-4b20-b7df-04e298a7509b (and others!)
Regarding a partner, there are a few, start here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/project/microsoft-project-partners
