project start date, finish date date and actual project start date, actual project finish date

Please guide me how we can save project start date and project actual start date with different dates, currently both columns become identical to each other.

Same for finish date and actual finish date.

Simple answer, save a baseline (Project > schedule group > set baseline). By setting a baseline before starting execution, Project will save several fields of data as Baseline fields. These Baseline fields can then be used to compare current progress of the plan with the original plan.

Project automatically updated the schedule start and finish dates to reflect reality whenever a task is started (actual start) and finished (actual finish). This is a normal part of Project's dynamic scheduling.

    Hope this helps.
