Ms Project Software Update
Hi,
We are planning to update our MS Project 2019 to MS Project 2021-we are interested in enhancing dashboard reports and possibly link MS Project to MS planner. The product review under Microsoft does not give detailed information. Any information is highly appreciated.

As I stated in my previous post, Microsoft Project can only connect to Planner when used with either Project Online or Project Server. There is functionally no difference between the 2019 and 2021 versions. This is because Microsoft spent all of the their development money on Project for the Web, which is a low-end project management tool for small and simple projects. Microsoft DID announce recently that later this year, Project for the Web will be merged into the Planner app. Hope this helps.
- Molalenge -- I am not clear what information you are seeking. There are no planned enhancements for Dashboard reports and there is already a link between enterprise projects and Planner when Microsoft Project is used with Project Online or Project Server. What information are you seeking? Let us know and we will try to help you.
- Thank you Dale for your response; my MS Project 2019 does not link with a Planner! What features are in MS Project 2021 (either the online or the web version) compared to MS 2019? Thanks.
