Help with Project Duration
I have made a master project schedule and it hold all my subprojects which have their own calendar. I have been able to add separate calendar to each task but my total duration for the sub project is showing up wrong.
Can anyone please help me with this issue.

I can assure you, it is not wrong. The questions are:
1. What is the Project calendar for your master project?
2. If the master project Project calendar is not the built-in Standard calendar, what are the work days and start and end times?
3. What is in the Task Calendar field for "3245 Rear Legs1"?
4. What is the Project option definition for a day (default is 8 hours)?
Bear in mind that task IDs 1, 2 and 3 are summary lines that belong to the master, so their parameters are defined by options set for the master. All other tasks belong to each individual subproject and their parameters are defined by option set for each of those subprojects.

1. What is the Project calendar for your master project ?
It is on calendar with 24 hour schedule, Monday to Saturday.
2. If the master project Project calendar is not the built-in Standard calendar, what are the work days and start and end times?
Work days are from Monday to Saturday, 12 AM to 12 AM.
3. What is in the Task Calendar field for "3245 Rear Legs1"?
The task calendar for rear legs 3245 is on 5 days, 9 hours working day calendar.
4. What is the Project option definition for a day (default is 8 hours)?
One day is 9 hours

Different project are on different calendars, 3192 is on a 24 hour calendar and 3245's are on a 9 hour work day calendar.
The master schedule is on a 24 hour calendar hence it is calculating 3192 accurately.
Essentially I want to calculate the duration according to the tasks calendar rather than calculating according to the calendar of the master schedule.
Thank you so much for your help.- John-projectSilver Contributor
I think you might benefit by including the time in the date display for both your master and subprojects. To do that, go to, File > Options > General group > Date Format and select a format that includes the time.
You cannot select a Task Calendar for the summary line of an inserted subproject. As I explained, that summary line belongs to the master, NOT to the subproject so it will take on the calendar of the master and show the duration in whatever units is used for the definition of a "day" in the master's options settings. Given that, you will not be able to display the duration value you want on that summary line. However, I have a workaround for you.
In the 3245 subproject, add a new top level summary line similar to what I should here in my mockup of your file: Note, the new summary will emulate the subproject's Project Summary Task.
This subproject when inserted into a master with a calendar different from the subproject will display the total subproject duration based on the subproject M-F 9 hour workday. This is how it will look in the master. Note: the subproject insertion point summary will show duration based on the calendar and definition of a "day" in the master but the added summary line will display duration based on the subproject, just what you want.
Hope this helps.
