Future of Planner

Hi there, 

the roadmap for planner ist pretty empty. Is there another place, where I can find future plans for planner?

There are some tools out there like trello or monday ahead in the category of low/mid level collaboration project/task planning.

Voices out of my team are getting louder to switch tool in this category. I wanted to find arguments for planner, but I can't find future plans.

Not much to go on here! They have some comments regarding some uservoices in planner uservoice. Apart from that it’s quite sparse with info about news

Thanks! Is this something we can interpret as a "sign" of slowly rejecting Planner? of coming up with something new? of something else?!
