Cannot access Planner via Mac desktop as a guest

I cannot access the Microsoft Planner using the Mac desktop app as a guest. I am, however, able to access it using the webbrowser.

The error I get is: "There was a problem with reaching this app."
It looks like a time-out error.

Is there a possible solution?
