Search: Clicking on a 'potential match' doesn't result in the email being displayed

I'm using the Outlook thick client on a Windows 11 laptop which connects to my M365 mailbox.

If I perform a search, using the search box in Outlook at the top of the screen, then as a type 'Suggested Searches' and 'Potential Matches' are displayed.

If I then subsequently click on a 'Potential Match' the selected item isn't displayed. If I perform the same action in the Outlook Web client then the email that I clicked on from the 'Potential Matches' list is displayed.

I have rebuilt my index, but this hasn't fixed the problem.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
