I keep getting this message and Outlook will not open on my Mac

to resolve your issue, first try to reinstall Outlook app from the App Store.
Then, if that doesn´t help try this:the crashing of Outlook can to be caused by Microsoft's AutoUpdate tool that comes with Office.
You need to remove the tool entirely, here are the items you have to trash:
- /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU or MAU 2.0 (the entire folder)- /Library/LaunchAgents/Com.microsoft.update.agent.plist
- /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.autoupdate.helper
