Outlook Not Playing My Chosen Email Notification Sound - Windows 11

I just upgraded from a computer that ran Windows 10. I'm now on a machine with Windows 11, and I have encountered an odd notification issue. In the control panel/WIndows settings, I've selected a sound that I recorded and set it to play when a new email arrives. That used to work, but no longer. In Outlook, I have also enabled sounds to play when email arrives. That doesn't help either.

Any suggestions to resolve this issue?

    Notice this complete mismatch on Windows 11 + Outlook classifc for something so simple.

    Does anyone from Microsoft Tech Commnuity actually inspect these pages when their products clearly dont work.
