Outlook keeps crashing while on background (Macbook)
Hi everyone, I have a problem with latest versions of Outlook desktop client for Mac. I'm using version 16.86.2 (24062313) and when I open the application and keep it in background, after 10 or 20 mins it suddenly closes automatically with no message appearing on the screen. This is bad because I loose all reminders from my calendar related to work meetings and other stuff.
I've already tried to uninstall the application, delete all cache and temporary files, restart the mac and reinstall. I can't find the option to clear cache as reported here https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/clear-the-cache-in-outlook-for-mac-6f230dfa-7f12-4606-bb1a-55ee19087033
Can I try a different way?

- Dhug95Copper ContributorWithout opening Teams, it seems that Outlook goes well in background. Maybe there's a conflict between the two Microsoft apps? Previously I had problems with Teams notifications sound, I was unable to hear it. Now it works, but maybe fixing something breaks something else... just an idea 🙂

ankithsingh I'm making some tests. I installed Outlook for the first time on my personal macbook and it's still working fine since yesterday, even after the whole night in standby and the lid closed.
I made the same with my work macbook. After the night in standby and lid closed, this morning I found Outlook correctly working in background and also the notifications for new emails. Then I started using Chrome, Teams and... after less than 20 mins I found again Outlook closed. I can't identify the exact moment it happens since it's done silently. Very annoying
