Outlook for Mac crashes at launch on macOS Sequoia 15.0

Hi,

Since updating my macOS to Sequoia 15.0, Outlook crashes immediately after opening. A few days ago, Word and PowerPoint were also crashing upon startup, but they are now working normally.

I am unable to use the “Contact Support” option in the Outlook app, as it freezes within 5 seconds of launching.

What is the solution for this?

I request someone from the Outlook support team to get back to me at the earliest, and I will share all the error reports.

Update 24/09/2024 : Microsoft Word application is also facing the same issue.

Same issue here. Talking with apple support I am able to boot into safe mode and then use office, or I can use office when not logged in. But the problem persists when I am in normal boot (M3 MB pro) and sign in to office and use one drive. Conflict seems to be somewhere between MacOS and Onedrive

Even I’ve been in touch with Apple Support and followed their instructions, including uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, but the issue persists. I also booted into safe mode: Outlook works normally in safe mode, but Word does not. When I created a new user account, all apps worked fine. Apple Support performed a few other steps via remote access, but the problem remains unresolved. Have sent them all the error reports as well. They have now requested assistance from Microsoft.

I have the same issue, since I upgraded to Sequoia 15.0, all the office applications are not working. Power Point, Word, Excel all of them are crashing. Fortunately only outlook is functioning. I have tried to look for updates from MS to fix it but havent found any solution so far.

Apps worked except I couldn't login on my hotmail account in Outlook. Now tried the New Outlook and all seems fine, especially after a new update from MS

My issue with Outlook and Word is still unresolved, even though other MS apps like Teams are working fine. On top of that, I’m traveling and relying on Outlook webmail to get things done, but I’m not getting any app updates either. Super frustrated with both MS and Apple 😞

@diviljain07 I have the same issue. I have tried restarting and re-installing outlook several times today. Now Word is playing up to. All since the latest update of Sequoia version 15.

Since the last update, I can only receive emails through the Outlook app. Sending emails no longer works. Therefore, I deleted my email from the app and am trying to add it again. Unfortunately, it keeps loading after entering the provider details. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It all started after the last update.

Also, my Dropbox app won’t log in anymore. As a result, my files are no longer synchronized. My colleagues who are still using the old version are not having this problem.

Same with me. None of the office apps work. They all crash immediately upon start. Had several MacOS updates even the betas. None worked. Office on Mac turned out to be piece of junk.

@ercanbasaran try to contact apple. I just contacted the support team by phone and Outlook & Dropbox is working again for me. And a tip: do not be redirected to Microsoft support. Because it really has to do with the update. I had to boot into safe mode and change some settings.

I am having the same problems.   Switched to Mac OS 15.0.1 Sequoia and now Outlook performs poorly and no Microsoft customer support.

@RichardH90 same for me even after this new update it’s not working. Crashes on all app office 365. Must restart my laptop each time
