Outlook display name is not reflected after changing display name in the Admin 365 Center
Hi Microsoft community,
I have started a trial account for the Microsoft 365 Business Basic for my side hustle. However, the display name of my outlook could not be updated after I have changed it in my Admin 365 Centre. I could not remove my middle name in the Outlook. After 12 hours, the issue of not updating still persists. Please advise.
- That's the expected behavior, Outlook requires profile reconfiguration to reflect such changes. There are other methods apart from profile reconfiguration, but those are not officially supported, so use on your own risk: https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/rename-exchange-mailbox-account-outlook/

May I know what time or when the update of the display name will be reflected? I just discovered that besides my Admin 365 center's site, all the Microsoft Apps are still displaying the old name. For example, "Account Manager for 'old name'" can be observed in Outlook (web browser), Teams, and Excel online.
To you, it may be a glitch. If it is a glitch, it should have been resolved after more than 20 hours. However, it seems the issue could not be resolved by simply waiting. Your link provided is not relevant in my case because it deals with the installed Outlook software. I am talking about the Microsoft 365 apps.
