New Outlook Mail Folder wrong language

Copper Contributor

Hello, I am having an issue with language folders.

In Outlook mails, everything is OK. In 1 out of 2 Gmail accounts I have, the language in system folders is wrong.

When I load my emails in Gmail (or Outlook for Android), the system folders appear in Greek, which is correct and is my language.

When I load my gmail account from the New Outlook, the system folders appear in English, eg. Inbox, Sent Items, Junk email etc. I checked my Gmail language options and it is correctly set to Greek. How can I fix this?

Hi @snikito,

Try to check what language was configured in the new outlook app. You can set your time zone, language, and the date and time format settings.

1. At the top of the page, select Settings .
2. Select General > Language and time.
3. Select the language, date format, time format, and time zone you want to use.
4. Select Save.
Tested that, language is set to Greek. I set the language again and the issue remains.
@snikito

Kindly try the following:
1. Exit Outlook.
2. Run Outlook.exe /resetfolders.
3. Run Outlook.exe /resetfoldernames.
Thank you for your answer. Running both the commands opens the regular Outlook (Office 365 one).
I am having the issue in the new outlook, deployed via the Store. The one that replaced mail and calendar. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/outlook-for-windows/9NRX63209R7B?gl=&hl=

Could you check what language is set under your system settings?

Just go to Windows search > Type in "Language settings" > Then check what language is set under Windows display language.

@darlene22xx Thank you for the reply. The language there is set to Greek and as a second language I have English (United States).
