Missing text predictions in Outlook

This recently (past week or so) became unavailable for some of our users.  We are as up to date as Windows update will allow us to be, for Windows and Office.  The predictive text checkbox is simply missing.  Aznyone seen this, a fix, or an agnoledgement from MS?
