I read my outlook emails via a server operated by Telstra and its webmail. It now persistently asks me for new passwords for the Telstra SMTP server such that I can no longer send or receive emails via the Telstra system which is unchanged.

Hi @mmlay ,
the issue seems like from your e-mail provider. I would contact Telstra support for this.

Thanks, I did and they were good. Passwords had been "automatically alter@mmlay
