Hotmail login problem

Hello, 

I have a conundrum with one of my hotmail accounts: I have forgotten the password and the number I had linked to the account to send the Microsoft code to retrieve the account is no longer valid. I do not have another email linked to which I can send to retrieve the account. 

However, I have the email pinned on my desktop so I can send and receive emails just fine. I just can't sign into Microsoff/Hotmail online. How could I fix this?
