does Business Basic allow synching with my Outlook calendar?

sounds like a stupid question, but bear with me - I work with a number of organisations and use Outlook as client to manage all email and calendars. In each instance, I can receive meeting request, accept it - and it will appear in my calendar. Works well... but...

I recently purchased a Business Basic license for my own use, bought an IMAP email address (that might be the issue) and associated this with the MS account. I can receive email fine but doesn't seem to 'integrate' with 365 - i.e. calendar entries simply vanish. Tellingly, I also can't seem to rename email subfolders associated with this account - any ideas greatly appreciated.
