Date Modified not showing when attaching files in Outlook for Mac

I have a brand new MacBook Pro with Monterrey v 12. When I am in Outlook for Mac (both original and New Outlook for Mac) and trying to send an attachment from Google Drive app where all my files are stored, there has been a major change. 

During the attachment process, my files are not showing up by Date Modified when working with Outlook attachments. (Unlike when I'm just browsing in Google Drive, where Date Modified shows up.) The view of files is only available in alphabetical order, not Date Modified. This is terrible - I have to do a search to find the file I just created and want to attach. Any comments welcome and appreciated!

    Try holding down the Control key and clicking the column headers to select columns to display.
