Hi,
I am trying to recover the password for an email account set up with two step verification. My employer has forgotten her password but the account was set up by the administrator who is not contactable for the foreseeable future. The administrator has used her phone number and not my employer's as the recovery phone. My employer has not set up her email in the authenticator app. Therefore, none of the usual recovery methods will work.
I have tried to fill out the Outlook recovery form but it stated that "the email address did not exist; note: you cannot use this to recover passwords for accounts set up with two-factor authentication".
I have searched around for other solutions but am dubious of downloading an external app to recover the password.
Any advice is much appreciated.
