Bingbot crawling emails in O365
We were doing a phishing test across our organization and saw several "clicks" from IPs related to Bingbot crawler. I always thought Microsoft Search within O365 is separate from Bing Search, so there should be no reason why Bingbot should crawl emails. Does anyone know if the Bingbot crawls emails in Office 365?

- anneodayIron ContributorOur ticket was resolved in August. There were so many that were not working, more than a dozen. We were advised that something was fixed on the back-end, so we downloaded them and re-uploaded, which did in fact resolve the problem for at least 9 that I tried personally, and the video owner said she fixed the others. So at this point, I'm not sure I could share a sample any longer because we "fixed" them by re-uploading. Cheers!
(Happy to send you the ticket info if you'd like it.)- GullettBrianBrass ContributorThanks for keeping us posted! Glad to hear it! I haven't encountered additional files with this behavior after the 2-3 we found in July, but we have a number of teams that still have content in on-prem shared drives that need to be moved eventually, so I was anticipating we'd bump into it again at some point. Hopefully, whatever was done to resolve this will keep us in the clear.

One example from me with no sound: Apokalypse Hitler 1_2-20200528_114524.mkv - There is a "Microsoft search in Bing" feature: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/microsoft-search-bing
- suheilkarkeraCopper ContributorI have seen that. But this feature has been around for a while. The Bingbot IPs have recently started showing up. Also, Microsoft Search in Bing doesn't return emails in the search results which makes me believe that emails are not crawled.
