Get direct download link of a file in OneDrive for Business
Well I just took a logical guess and it totally worked lol.... so do this.
Use "Get link", then use "People with existing access" to get the direct link to the file.
Then, the url will be direct path to https://org.sharepoint.com/personal/user_org/folder/filename.ext?d=oiuqjaweorihjlkj
Now, just remove everything after the ? and put in download=1 and magic happens.
https://org.sharepoint.com/personal/user_org/folder/filename.ext?download=1

THANK YOU! It worked for me like a charm. For those who are looking for a solution to get a direct link of onedrive to work with Qlikview (like me), this solution was the light at the end of the tunnel .

Doesn't work. It asks for sign-in
sabarishn right click on the file and copy the link then open a private tab on your browser then paste and go afte that click on download then imediately cancel the download and go to the downloads from the browser menu then you will see a link on below of your file name copy it and boom this is your direct link

convert the Microsoft OneDrive embedded code into a direct downloadable link.
The link can be shared with anyone, they don't have to have a Microsoft account.
I discovered and created this tool back in 2004.
How this Tool works:-- Just Copy the Embedded code from your OneDrive. An example

- Just Copy the Embedded code from your OneDrive. An example
Adding &download=1 at the end works great for Business accounts but it doesn't work for Personal Accounts. Is there another way to make it downloadable for Personal Accounts?
Christopher's method works like a magic. It also works with "Anyone with the link" and "People in my org" mode. Simply add "&download=1" to the end of link.

It does not seam to work for me. I always end up on the download page.
For me I had to go through a few steps to get it to work - as a side note I did it with audio mp3 files not pdf or anything.
1. Right click the file and copy link
2. It should come up with a dialogue box that says "People in *domain* with the link can edit". Click on that.
3. Uncheck the "Allow Editing"
4. Click apply then copy the link it gives you
5. Add "&download=1" to the end of it and then put that in a browser url address bar and hit enter.
6. It will then produce an expanded url and when I copied the expanded url it produced it was basically a direct download file for the audio. That worked fine for me.
