Customizing Templates

OneNote also lets you unleash your creativity by customizing your own page templates. Design a page to your liking and then save it as a template by selecting "Save current page as a template." You can even choose a default template to use for all new pages in the current section, ensuring your notes are always stylish and consistent.

  1. Open OneNote: Launch the OneNote app on your device.

  2. Navigate to a Blank Page: Open a new or existing notebook and go to a blank page where you want to create your template.

  3. Design Your Page: Customize the page to your liking. You can add text, images, tables, and other elements. Format the page with your preferred fonts, colors, and layout.

  4. Save as Template:
    • Click on the "Insert" tab in the menu bar.
    • Select "Page Templates" from the options.
    • In the "Templates" pane that appears on the right, click on "Save current page as a template."

  5. Name Your Template: Give your template a name that will help you easily identify it later.

  6. Set as Default (Optional): If you want this template to be the default for all new pages in the current section, check the box that says "Set as default template for new pages in the current section." Save your template.

  7. Find Your New Template: Your new template can be found in a new template category section called My Templates.
