The lowest volume on AirPods Pro is still too loud

Copper Contributor

So, when I conference on my iPad/iPhone with my AirPods Pro, even I adjust the volume to the lowest, the sound is still too loud.

Is there a plan of fixing it? Thanks!

There’s quite a few known problems with AirPods and the boring answer is that AirPods are not a fully supported device!
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/across-devices/devices

Although afaik Microsoft is working to improve these issues with Apple

I can also recommend going to Teams uservoice and make a request or upvote better support!

Volume control is located on device properties. If you are Windows 10 user, it can be found by:

1. Right-click on the Sound icon in the system tray.
2. Select Sounds from the menu.
3. Click on the Playback tab.
4. Select your Bluetooth device, then Properties.
5. Click on the Levels tab and adjust your volume.
This is the same as setting the volume using the sound icon on the taskbar. When I'm in a Teams call with Airpods Pro and have the volume set to "1", it's still too loud. Listening to music is fine.

After much seeking, I discovered the solution.

Click on Windows Icon / Settings / Sound.  Scroll down to the bottom to the "Advanced Sound Options" section, then click on "App volume and device preferences".  There, you will find volume controls for Master Volume and apps that you can use the slider function to adjust for each one.

I fixed this by disabling Absolute Volume, after doing so you will get independent volume control of the headphones and things are much better. Info is here: - https://www.reddit.com/r/airpods/comments/b6l5bm/airpods_2_windows_10_max_volume_fix/

Adjusting the volumes in Advanced settings --> App volume and devices preferences works.

Hi, don't know if this helps but let me explain my situation and provide solution I've come up:So basically, when I paired the airpods it would say somthing like its not possible to connect - try again, there was moments when it was connected, but there was no sound, I've checked everywhere, but there was no device in the sound tab(not even headphone option which I've seen on one of threads out there).
So the solution was to open the device management tab -> reveal hidden devices and you will spot Bluetooth auxillary components. From here you should find a component with "Sink" part of the naming, select it and update drivers using the find available drivers on the computer, here you will see a list of compatible drivers. Next, select the A2DP drivers and install them. Now your airpods should be working.
Note: I have to do this every time I connect new bluetooth headphone device, I am not sure what's wrong, but I've tried almost everything except some advices with BIOS manipulation.

P.S. Windows 10 solution

Change the volume of sound effects using iPhone or iPad
Wear your AirPods, and make sure they're connected to your device.
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Accessibility > AirPods.
Select your AirPods, then adjust Tone Volume.

@DrSlump What I found works is putting them in the case and taking them out. Hope it helps!
