Teams status offline, no option to change it

Hello,

My organisation have just started using teams but we always show as offline in both the desktop app and web app.

There isn't an option to change our status either, it just doesn't show up in the dropdown menu when we click on our icons.

How can we fix this?

Can you check your users co-existence mode?

Sorry I'm not sure how to do that. Do I need admin level permissions?
