Not able to see Background Effects in Microsoft Teams
- Sep 21, 2020
Anubhav1270 Remove your webcam from device manager and re-install it. This should solve the issue.
Anubhav1270 Try to open Microsoft teams from the google, sign up, and enter a meeting. You shall have three dots at the bottom if you are using a laptop. I am not sure where you can find the three dots if you are using any other device. After you click on the three dots you will find "Show Background Effects" Click on it, click preview then choose the background you want to have you may even choose a normal blurry background. If you don't have any you may click "add" and start adding your own backgrounds that you would like to put on your backgrounds of your meetings. If you are even in a formal meeting or a job meeting you can search on google for some formal pictures and start saving them after that you can put them on the background so you can have your own.😘

I've read page after page of people all explaining that all anyone needs to do is run Teams, the click on the three dots and pick a background effect. I suppose this is the proper information to give someone who has never seen a computer before or someone who has an IQ significantly below room temperature.
Now, how about someone offering a realistic suggestion for those of us who have installed the Teams app on our modern laptop computer (in my case a Dell Inspiron 5593) and have clicked on the three dots and have selected to show the Background Effects only to get an empty panel that offers no choices at all, not even Blur. I would love to tell you what version of Microsoft Teams I am running but I don't know because even when I can get to the menu that includes About, clicking on About does absolutely nothing - so I don't have any way to display the version, but it is whatever version Microsoft downloaded TODAY when I first had the misfortune to need to join a Team Meeting. According to Control Panel, apparently it is version 1.4.00.2879
For those not familiar with the Dell Inspiron 5593, it runs an Intel i7-1065G7 processor,- Airren8965Mar 01, 2021Copper Contributor
I still have problem with my MacBook Pro Year 2018. OS has been updated to lasted version. If the same problem persists since last year, why can't they do something to fix it?
