- MikeKoehnCopper ContributorWill users some be able to add an alternate phone number in Teams for themselves? We hoped that the cell number in Delve/SharepointOnline would come over as a secondary number but no go there! Administratively we can store a mobile number in on premise AD and allow it to sync, however a user self service option would be preferred. We have 1000s of users who don't run the Teams mobile client and would like their cell numbers to be visible to coworkers to call via telephony-enabled teams users.
- MikeKoehnCopper ContributorWrong thread, apologies!
- Petri-XBronze ContributorWhen speaking about performance and monitoring, is there anybody who could explain how to read MediaLine_ parameters under "Advanced" section. There are some historical entries which sounds very useful information when trying to analyze the call quality issues on Teams.

I can help here, which MediaLine_ fields in particular are you interested in knowing more about?
The 'Other' section in the Advanced tab (as well as the Debug tab) are both primarily geared towards internal engineering teams. We use them for investigating application behavior and assisting with customer incidents. Many of those fields won't be particularly useful to customers on their own, while some of those fields are found in Call Quality Dashboard (albeit under more friendly names with the 'MediaLine_' bits truncated). For those that are available in CQD, we have definitions available here: Dimensions and measurements - Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs

That would be awesome if you could open even a bit these mysterious 🙂
And yes, I believe these are mostly used for internal purposes, but when someone is asking what went wrong, we need to turn all of our rocks.
The following lines has been lately my interest:
MediaLine_SystemMetric_SystemCpu_CpuFrequencyHistogram
MediaLine_OutboundStream_Payload_Video_VbssTypeHistograms
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_RecvSignalLevelHistogram1
MediaLine_OutboundStream_Payload_Audio_SendSignalLevelHistogram1
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_NetworkJitterHistogram1
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Video_RecvDelayEngineHist
MediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Video_RecvDelayTransportHistMediaLine_InboundStream_Payload_Audio_JitterBufferResetCount
From those lines I would like to try to see if I can get any ideas how the call has been went for user point of view.
Also would be nice to know how to turn the timestamps to normal time e.g. 38272845477884304. As those seems to not be Epoch?
Are you also a person who understand the content of Advanced very well? I had a case also, but that did not work well. I believe some of the values are incorrectly written on there. Eg. If you take section "inbound network" and from there e.g. Maximum round-trip time. And then compare that to "outbound network". The values are in same order e.g.
Inbound Network Max Round Trip: 49ms | 59ms
Outbound Network Max Round Trip: 49ms | 59ms
But then e.g. Maximum Jitter, the values are mirror of others:
Inbound Network Max Jitter: 3ms | 4ms
Outbound Network Max Jitter: 4ms | 3ms
. . .I have so many questions... 😄
Like on the same case I had a feeling that outbound and inbound were mixed elsewhere as well.
- Petri-XBronze ContributorDo you have any recommendation how the Anti Virus tools should be configured for not disturbing Microsoft Teams?

Hi there - here's our official statement around excluding Teams from any AV DLP; https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-administration/include-exclude-teams-from-antivirus-dlp. Thanks for the question!
- WilliamTafeCopper ContributorThe in-call reporting metrics is a huge improvement from having nothing. Is work being done to add additional metrics? Inbound video metrics would be great. I'd also like to see past call metrics for post-mortem troubleshooting.

We're always looking at ways to enhance the utility of Real-time Analytics including adding new metrics that may prove useful when monitoring a user's telemetry. In regards to 'past-call metrics', we have Call Analytics and Call Quality Dashboard which provide post-call telemetry for admins based off of the Quality of Experience (QoE) data that we receive from the client once a call has ended. Or is there something else that you had in mind?
- dwaltnerBrass ContributorDo you have any plans for recoring multiple audio streams. We have had several recordings ruined due to one users poor audio. Other platforms provide that feature and we would love to use Teams for ALL of our meetings.
- MikeKoehnCopper ContributorNot a performance question... however are there plans to allow user-uploaded cell phone numbers in Sharepoint/Delve to appear in Teams? Soft phone users would like to have their cells self-published. Feel free to reply in the thread instead of live Performance meeeting!
- Petri-XBronze ContributorWhen speaking about the network optimization etc.. have you ever though about offering a TURN server to companies who are having on-premises infrastructure? Some kind of Edge server on the DMZ.
- NoNotMeIron ContributorWhen will Teams offer annotation on shared screens?
- Roisin_BlanksOccasional ReaderAre there plans to add inclusivity features such as including the ability to display pronouns when clicking on a users profile or next someones name in a Meeting?
- WilliamTafeCopper ContributorApologies if I missed it, but is increased FPS coming for sharing video as content? Using OBS as a workaround sharing via a virtual webcam which is cumbersome and potentially riskier. If so, is there a timeline or roadmap item for this change?
