How to join insider from 0ff365 Family subscription on Mac...

Hello,

The help files say to select Help -> Check for Update in Word or Excel. When I launch either there is no option to check for update so I cant access the "Advanced" tab to select to join the insider program. 

How do. join the insider program when I have an Office 365 Family subscription on Mac?

If your Office product was installed from the App Store, you will need to reinstall it from the Microsoft site. This is because you need a program called Microsoft AutoUpdate to join Office Insider.
