Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! My name is Ekta Dwivedy and I’m a Product Manager on the PowerPoint team. I’m excited to share that you can now split and merge cells in tables in PowerPoint for iPad.

Splitting and merging cells in a table can help you organize your data and make it more readable. For example, by merging cells, you combine two or more cells into one larger one to create a table heading that spans several columns.

How it works

  1. On a PowerPoint slide that contains a table, select one or more cells.
  2. To merge selected cells, tap Table > Merge > Merge Cells.
