Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! I’m Bola Soneye, a Product Manager on the OneNote team. I’m excited to share that we’ve addressed a long-standing formatting request for mobile users: Pages created on Android and iOS now have cleaner, more consistent margins when viewed in OneNote on Windows, for Mac, and for the web.
Improved margins in OneNote for Android and iOS
We know how annoying it can be when page margins shift between devices, and we’ve heard your feedback! With this update, pages you create on your Android or iOS device will now display consistently in OneNote on Windows, for Mac, and for the web, maintaining their layout across screen sizes so your notes look polished and behave as expected.
This small fix makes a big difference for mobile-first users and anyone syncing notes between platforms!
How it works
- Start a new notebook page in OneNote on your Android or iOS device.
- Open that same page in OneNote on Windows, for Mac, or for the web, and notice that the margins remain the same no matter what screen you’re looking at.
NOTE: This refreshed layout is only currently available for new pages created – updates to existing pages are on the way soon.
Availability
The mobile margin fix is available to OneNote users running:
- Android: Version 16.0.19127.20046 or later.
- iOS: Version 16.100 (Build 25080736) or later.
Don’t have it yet? It’s probably us, not you.
Features are released over some time to ensure things are working smoothly. We highlight features that you may not have because they’re slowly releasing to larger numbers of Insiders. Sometimes we remove elements to further improve them based on your feedback. Though this is rare, we also reserve the option to pull a feature entirely out of the product, even if you, as an Insider, have had the opportunity to try it.
Feedback
Your feedback helped shape this feature. We’d love to hear more: Go to Help > Feedback in OneNote to share your thoughts!
