Thanks for joining us today for an AMA on the Microsoft 365 admin center! We appreciate your questions and feedback, and we look forward to continuing the discussion in the Microsoft 365 community!
If you have any questions you didn't get a chance to ask during the event, please go to our Microsoft 365 discussion space and the product team will follow up with you there.
- Rob de RoosIron ContributorWhen will we be able to use the M365 Admin consoles with B2B like the Azure and Endpoint management portals.
- Nick_SeidlerOccasional ReaderHey Rob, can you please provide some more details or examples of the functionality that you're referring to? Thanks! Nick
- Rob de RoosIron ContributorHi Nick, In Azure and Intune we can choose to Switch Directory. In security.microsoft.com we can alter the url with the tennant ID. This way you can be a guest admin and manage the customer. This is not possible for most other admin portals.
- Rob de RoosIron ContributorDo you also want feedback on the Intune admin portal experience?
- Meenah_KhosrawIron Contributor
Hey Rob,
Feel free to ask your question in the Intune discussion space in the Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager community as well so the product team can answer any questions you have or listen to your feedback: Microsoft Intune

Unfortunately, we do not have the right expert right now, as it is the Microsoft 365 admin center related AMA, but we can take your question and find someone who can take it.
- amishaBhatiaBrass ContributorHi everyone! My name is Amisha Bhatia and I'm a Product Manager on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center team and spoke at Ignite about Experience insights targeted at Adoption/Success Specialists. We're looking forward to hearing your questions!!
- Tracey11Iron ContributorHello :), I have 3 questions, 1)what type of role permissions will adoption specialists need in Azure for access to the message centre features? 2)Will the new adoption field features incorporate into the planner process/model that was set up a while ago for reviewing message centre posts? 3) If you select not to know about a feature will you be able to 'change your mind' later if your licences change? e.g. we may not select 'viva' now - so AI will start to remove posts with that feature - I assume we can reselect the feature later if needed?
- Jon OrtonIron Contributor3) The AI won't remove message center posts, it provides a score so you can filter according to relevance. The way the system would learn to start scoring Viva higher after your licenses changed would be the feedback you provide by: Reading posts and favoriting them (especially favoriting them).
- Jon OrtonIron Contributor2) Yes, the new "relevance score" will be included in the Planner-based process, not just the UI
- Jon OrtonIron ContributorHi Tracey, these are great questions: 1) There is a "Message center reader" role that can be used if you want to grant access to the Message Center without granting other permissions. Many other M365 admin center roles have access automatically, except for this list: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/message-center?view=o365-worldwide#admin-roles-that-dont-have-access-to-the-message-center
- Tracey11Iron Contributor
Thanks Jon, do we know why reports reader doesn't have access when it gives ... ''Reports reader Assign the Reports reader role to users who need to do the following:'' - View usage data and the activity reports in the Microsoft 365 admin center - Get access to the Power BI adoption content pack - Get access to sign-in reports and activity in Azure AD - View data returned by Microsoft Graph reporting API per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/add-users/about-admin-roles?view=o365-worldwide
To clarify, the Power BI adoption pack and the admin centre reporting will be more aligned in the future I imagine? When I last tried to compare data across both the results were inconsistent. Also is there best practice or any guidelines for how to remove licences which fall into specific categories from adoption numbers? For e.g my outlook adoption may say 30% but I know it's more like 70% - a lot of licences it's using to calculate the adoption % may be ?(I don't know!)? generic licences for things like group email accounts etc? Just trying to understand why the data can be so wrong at present and how to clean it up...
