Microsoft Bookings in Outlook is coming to help you reduce the back and forth in scheduling, while helping you maintain control of your calendar. You'll be able to keep custom bookable time (via a new event drop down in the calendar pane) to share with others so they can easily find a time to schedule a 1:1 meeting with you according to your availability and preferences.

When someone books a time slot with you using your personal booking page, you will both receive an email confirmation. Attendees can update or cancel scheduled meetings with you directly from your personal bookings page.

All users with the following subscriptions will have access to Bookable time in Outlook by default:

  • Office 365: A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3
  • Microsoft 365: A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3, Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium

How can you start using Bookable time?

From Outlook on the web, click on the calendar tab on the left navigation menu, click the New Event button, and select Bookable time.

This appears to be an extension to the Bookings with Me that's already available?  I use that extensively.  Seems this is an added functionality, and curious if it truly is.  I just published a blog post on Bookings with Me and how to use and setup.   Thanks!

@PatrickDrewsTSI   Where's the link to your blog? I would love to take a look.

a) When is this coming?

b) Is it an extension of Bookings with Me?

Brass Contributor

Will this also be available for the Outlook Desktop version?

Copper Contributor

What API endpoint and Graph permission are needed to get/set this?

Indeed it seems it's an extension, I can see it already in OWA:

And judging by the roadmap ID it seems it's OWA only at this point: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?rtc=1&filters=&searchterms=106119

Hello @Vikram2011, this feature looks awesome. Is it coming to GCC-High? Thanks

Is there a way to create bookable time on behalf of someone else?

Copper Contributor

@PatrickDrewsTSI thanks for the post on your blog. I have a follow up question: how do you prevent general people to still throw a regular meeting invite on your calendar thru outlook?

is there a way to make it restricted so that people can only schedule meeting with you thru your Bookings page?

Copper Contributor

As an assistant, I have complete access to someone else's calendar and regular schedule/accept appointments on their behalf. I can only use the bookable time took for my own calendar though, is there a way to create bookable time from someone else's calendar?

Hello Vikram

I have a A5 license from my college and me some of my fellow peers are not seeing the Bookable Time feature on OWA. I had reached out to the admins of our college, they are searching for information to resolve the issue. Could you please share insight on this or any admins within the MS community. Thank you

Hi @Vikram2011

it would be wonderuful if you can adopt the simplicity of Calendly. They also have some nice hands-on functions like a meeting poll or one-off meeting.

Thank you in advance

Andy
